Default Celebrity sightings?

Anyone have good (or bad) on-board experiences dealing with celebrities?

Any red-eye favorites? Despicable wannabes? By name or anonymously...

I just had Neil Young (rocker from the '60's who appeared at Woodstock, and later was a part of the famed group Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young) last Friday from SFO to IAD. He was distant, like he didn't want to be bothered (I figure he gets enough publicity and sometimes likes to be left alone), but he wasn't impolite, and said please and thanks you. His wife and daughter were also on board, and they were both pleasant.

His bandmates, also on board, included eminent basist Billy Talbot and drummer Ralph Molina, were very pleasant and well humored. We enjoyed having them on board.

Not long ago I had Gloria Stuart, classic film star most recently known for her role as the old lady in Titanic, and she was a doll. She stood in the galley and talked with us, signed autographs, and one of her lines was, "My advice to you is never grow old!"

Had Leslie Nielson going to München.
He lived up to the expectation. Acted like he was still in a movie.
Can't help but smile at the guy, though.

I had a lot of celebs, all very plesant.

Don Shula (Former Coach of the Miami Dolphins)
Stedman Grahm (Boyfriend of Oprah Winfrey)
Rick Springfield
Jennifer Love Hewitt
Brandy
John O'Hurley
Lead Singer from Smashmouth (very cool)
Ice-T
Nelson (80's 1 hit wonders)
Paul Stanley (Kiss)
"Downtown" Julie Brown (from MTV fame)

All these folks mostly came to and from Las Vegas from LAX. All very great people. Not a problem with any of them.

Had a few celebs in my time (not in the biblical sense of course) Probably the nicest was Shania Twain. Very polite, please and thankyou with a smile, basicly very unstarry. She even said I was sweet!
Diana Rigg was another favourite (you know Miss Emma Peel). Every inch a lady. Diana, Princess of Wales...lets just say I won't speak ill of the dead. Oh and how could I forget! Joanna Lumley of Ab Fab fame. That woman is a GODDESS! I was slavering at her feet. I can see why she is the only woman my father would leave my mother for.
That's my few worth mentioning

Chuck Yeager
I've had Chuck Yeager fly on one of our Metro III's when I dispatched in Alaska. It's a 17 pax a/c so there is no FA. The FO was a very good friend of mine and a very pretty blonde at that. Since there wasn't an FA, the FO was required to give the safety briefing.
She was very embarassed and humiliated when he kept refering to her as the FA (not that is was an insult...please take no offense). She came into the office in tears because he was one of her biggest aviation idols (and mine) yet he treated her with such contempt on the flight....I won't go into details because I truly admire the man's accomplishments but she was heart broken.

Default Re: Celebrity sightings?

I don't see celebs in-flight too often, but I've checked in plenty of them!

Keanu Reeves (actor) - ASS!
Jewel (singer) - needs to get over herself.
Nedra Carroll (Jewel's mom & manager) - very, very sweet lady!
Joe (singer) - SEXY! Oh yeah - nice, too!
Ivory (WWF wrestler) - she is such a doll! Actually made friends w/her and now we send each other holiday wishes and she sends me WWF tickets whever we're going to be in the same city!
Catherine Harris (Florida Secretary of State) - this lady is incredibly sharp, pleasant, and rather nice.
Gov. Howard Dean (Vermont) - what a pussy! Always travels with one bodyguard and one assistant. Demands to be preboarded. Gets off the aircraft if the temperature doesn't meet his fancy.
Senator James Jeffords (Vermont party jumper) - AWESOME guy! Wish he was my long-lost uncle!
Congressman Bernie Sanders (Vermont) - bumped him off his flights and called security on him for being a dick on September 13, 2001.
Yves Couette (CEO of Ben & Jerry's) - very cool guy who gave out free ice-cream coupons to all the staff!
Jamie Lee Curtis (actress) - she has got to be the world's biggest bitch. I think she may have been the original creator of the phrase "Do you know who I am?".
Jack Nicklaus (professional golfer) - ASS. ASS.
Bill Clinton (former U.S. president) - very pleasant. Hard to think ill thoughts about him when he's in your presence, despite what you hear on the tube.
Sandra Bullock (actress) - very nice!
B.B. King (Blues guitar god) - nice, nice, nice!
Bill Cosby (actor/comedian) - has his own plane, but I worked at an FBO that he parked in. Nice guy. Even nicer plane!
Miss America 1999 - WAY TOO MUCH BAGGAGE! Didn't say 2 words to any of the airline staff.
Jean-Jacques Cousteau (oceanographer) - very nice guy despite cancelled flights.
Keiko (orca whale) - very pleasant sea creature. Flew out of Newport, OR on an Air Force cargo jet. Didn't struggle against the net.
Chris Isaak (singer/actor/songwriter/my future husband) - very nice guy, stunning eyes. Someday he'll come out.
Ernie Kent (UO Men's Basketball coach) - nice guy. Very serious.
Kevin Johnson (NBA Player) - very annoying.
The Cherry Poppin' Daddies (band) - these guys are awesome and very fun to party with!

There may be more, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

I just happen to see the Mini Me guy from the Austin Power movies. I think his name is Vern Troyer or something like that. The flight attendants told me he couldn't reach the lock on the lav door so they watched it for him. He also drank like a fish the whole flight I was told. Can't remember where he came from but was connecting in MEM to go to SDF. He got off the inbound plane and my friend who is a ticket agent was working the gate and she herself is only barely 5 ft and he got off the flight and hugged her leg. He came barely up to her waist. I think he is only a little over 2 ft tall. They wisked him away in a wheelchair with his buddy who is also one of the little people my guess is they went to the worldclub for more drinks before fight time..

I have not had too many stars on my flights. I once had Joan Jett (DAY-MSP), Kurt Engle (ATL-MSP), and I have done a few chaters for some NHL and NBA teams. I know a lot of people who have had Prince on their flights in MSP. I hear he wont talk to you, you have to talk to his assistant.
