ya me too I was so excited that I book a flight to Toronto. haha =P Well, I still think it is worth a try since I did do a cattle call once b4 but didn't have the experience of how will the interview go so I end up not getting in. If not, they would have done a language test with me. =( Hopefully, this time I can get in cuz it will be cool to be able to fly everywhere. =)

It can be a bit disheartening when you've gone through the process of applying online and then the company opens up the interviews to 'Joe Public'.

When I used to fly I was selected for an interview because I was language qualified for one of the company's destinations. I went through three interviews in one day and was only asked to read an announcement as my language test. I don't speak French, and yet I flew to Paris almost every month and not to the destination of my spoken second language. You just never know how things will work. They may require you for your language skills, but it doesn't always give you the edge you had hoped for.

Anyone going to the open house in Toronto today and tomorrow?
I thought I would be definitely going and I was preparing somewhat at least mentally but my boyfriend seems that he does not want me to become a f/a.... darn.... As much as I love to become a f/a, this relationship is important to me...

And I cannot justify why I would like to change my career other than that which I really love to and it seems a really exciting career. Just the pay is holding me back... Although the hourly rate is not that bad, I think it's really bad when you get paid only for 75 hours per month... It is so hard...

Well, good luck to all of you who are going today and tomorrow! I will always envy Air Canada flight attendants...

Look, to apply on line takes only few minutes. We have to fly from Vancouver, book hotel, and spend 5 minutes with the person who might not like us. Plus, we hve to wait in line like cattle. I guess, you must have worked for Air Transat. Plus, we do not know if they really need those route lang. qualified people.
